Jodhpur, popularly known as blue city is the second largest city of Rajasthan. Blue City as the name describe has the plesant architecture- forts, temples, havelis, palaces and houses are bulit in shades of blue. Year 1459 AD is that year in which Jodhpur marked its origin. The hsitory of this beautiful heaven revolves around the clans of Rathore. The first person who credited the origin of Jodhpur was Rao Jodha, Chief of Rathore Clan . Jodhpur is also famous for the rare breed of horses taht are marwari or malani, which can be only found here.

This is said to be built in the place of ancient capital of Manwar, thats why the people of Jodhpur or neighbouring areas are called marwaris . There are many stories attached to this, some people witness that vestige of Mandore, capital of Mnawar are still tehre in Mandore gardens.

AIRWAYS- Jodhpur is connected to Mumbai and delhi and the airport is just 5 kilometers away from the city.

MEHRANGARH FORT

Mehrangarh fort is one of the most alluring fort of Jodhpur and India. It was bulit in 1460 AD by Rao Jodha. It is almost 100m above the city skyline and it is so unblemished that every tarveller say that this is the most remarkable tourist destination in Rajasthan. Its giant size, big and thick walls gives it a bold look. This splendous in red sandstone give it an unconventional beauty.

The museum executed the fantastic artwork of historical times. Annual Rajasthan International Folk Festival in October and the World Sufi Spirit festival in Febuary are so amazingly planned taht it fulfills all the flaws so beautifully.

MANDORE GARDENS

It is built on 1793 by Ajit Singh. It is said to be have an incomplete sightseeing if you havn’t visited Mandore gardens. Big halls, statues carved with stones and eeburant are a dediaction to the Rajput heros. As we previously said that there are many stories related to these gardens which makes people more curious to visit the place and enjoy the sight and gain knowledge.

Sardar market and Tripolia market are the best place for shopolics where you can find everything under one roof.

For fun time and rides one must visit splash water park and fun world. It si the best place for children, teenagers, one who are travelling with their friends, cousins or siblings.

FAIRS AND FESTIVAL

Manwar Festival

It si the most famous festival in Jodhpur and India. It is held every year in the month of ashwin( Between September and October). It isnheld in Osian town in the thar desert, in the memory of Rajasthani Heros.It is originally knwon as marwal festival . It is the best time to feel the desi culture, folk music, dance and lifestyle. Other attractions are camel tatto show and polo . Different places where the festival is held are Umaid bhawan palace, Mehrangarh fort and Mandore.
